'Chak De! India' Shines At AIFF


Yash Raj Film's 'Chak De! India' bagged the 'Best Film Award' at the 5th Australian Indian Film Festival and Akshaye Khanna received the 'Best Actor Award' for his role of Harilal Gandhi in 'Gandhi My Father'. The major portion of 'Chak De! India' was shot in Australia with local extras.

The awards ceremony was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art and was attended by Chak De! India's director Shimit Amin and Sagarika Ghatge. Akshaye Khanna and Feroz Abbas Khan director of 'Gandhi My Father' also graced the event by their presence.

The ten-day-long Australian Indian Film Festival will feature some of the finest films from India. The festival opened with the screening of the film 'Gandhi My Father'.
